I'm always asked to make these. So easy but so tasty. Use what ever chips and nuts you like. Serve warm with warm carmel sauce and ice cream. I call this love for the tummy!

Time 45m

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 c butter
1 (16 oz) box light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 c all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
pinch salt
1 c pecans or walnuts, chopped
1 (16 oz) pkg semi-sweet chocolate chips

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Melt butter in a heavy saucepan. Add sugar. Stir in eggs, flour and baking powder. Add vanilla extract, salt and nuts. Stir in chocolate chips. Pour into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  • 2. (My note: Once the sugar has been mixed in with the melted butter, I prefer to pour it into a mixing bowl and then add the rest of the ingredients. It seems to result in a more brownie-like texture.)
