CROCK POT CUBED STEAK (+VIDEO)
Crock Pot Cubed Steak with Gravy is made with cubed steak, au jus gravy mix, French onion soup and cream of chicken soup.

Steps:
- In the bottom of a 6-quart slow cooker, combine cream of chicken soup, French Onion soup, packet of au jus and water. Stir well.
- Put cubed steak in slow cooker with gravy mixture.
- Cover slow cooker and cook steak on low for 6-8 hours.
- After cooking, it's time to thicken gravy. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and cold water. Stir mixture into crock pot.
- Turn the setting to high and cook for 30 minutes (until gravy is thickened.)

- Place flour in shallow dish. Add steaks, 1 or 2 at a time, and turn to coat completely. , In a skillet, cook steaks in oil until lightly browned on each side. Transfer to a 3-qt. slow cooker. Add the onion and 2 cups water. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until meat is tender. , In a bowl, whisk together gravy mixes with remaining water. Add to slow cooker; cook 30 minutes longer. Serve over mashed potatoes or noodles.

- In a pot bring water and potatoes to a boil; cover and simmer 10 minutes or until tender. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup liquid. Return potatoes to pan and add 1/4 tsp salt. Mash potatoes using 1/3 - 1/2 cup of the potato liquid.
- In a measuring cup mix together broth and 2 tablespoons flour.
- Coat steaks with remaining flour (2 TB), 1/4 tsp salt and the pepper.
- Spray skillet with Pam and set over high heat. Add steaks and cook 2 minutes per side.
- Stir in mushrooms and broth mixture; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 20-30 minutes. Uncover and cook until gravy thickens.
- Serve with mashed potatoes.

BAKED CUBE STEAK AND VEGGIES
This is a great way to serve cube steak and it always comes out so tender, you can cut it with a fork. This recipe also makes it's own gravy. We prefer this with potatoes, onions and carrots, but you can add any veggies that you like. Enjoy!

Steps:
- 1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add oil to an oven-safe pan for browning. (I use a Copper Chef sqaure pan with lid). Set aside.
- 2. Sprinkle both sides of cube steaks with salt. Dredge in flour and place in prepared pan. Add additional flour and brown on both sides. Loosen with spatula. Set aside.
- 3. Peel and quarter potatoes and onions. Add to cube steaks. Add carrots. Mix water with beef broth and pour over meat and veggies. Sprinkle with additional salt and pepper to taste.
- 4. Cover with lid and bake for about one hour. Serve with a green veggie and roll.
