1 pound ground beef
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon pepper
2 cups uncooked bow tie pasta
1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, drained
1-1/3 cups beef broth
1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
3 medium yellow summer squash, thinly sliced
3/4 cup chopped green pepper
1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Stir in the pasta, tomatoes, broth, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes. , Add squash and green pepper. Cook, uncovered, for 3-4 minutes or until pasta and vegetables are tender, stirring occasionally. Add 1/2 cup cheese; cook 1-2 minutes longer or until cheese is melted. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.

1 lb boneless sirloin steak
2 Tbsp olive oil
1 lb fresh asparagus, cut into 2-inch pieces
1 md onion, chopped
1/2 c beef broth
4 c cooked farfelle pasta (bow ties)
1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce (i buy diced tomatoes and blend them up)
3 Tbsp fresh, lightly chopped basil leaves
3 Tbsp coarsly chopped sundried tomatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1/4 c grated, fresh parmesan

Steps:

  • 1. Trim fat from sirloin. Cut beef across the grain into bite size cubes.
  • 2. Heat olive oil over medium heat. Saute onions until fragrant and crisp-tender.
  • 3. Add remaining olive oil to skillet. Add sirloin. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently until meat is no longer pink.
  • 4. Return onions. Stir in remaining 1 cup of beef broth and crushed tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes.
  • 5. Stir in cooked pasta.
  • 6. Plate, sprinkle with fresh basil, sun dried tomatoes, and Parmesan cheese. Serve.

1/2 cup chopped green onion
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 cup salsa
1 1/2 cups cheddar and american blend cheese

Steps:

  • Cook and drain pasta as directed.
  • Brown ground beef until thoroughly cooked,drain.
  • Reserve 2 tablespoons of onions for garnish; stir remaining onions,soup, and salsa into beef.
  • Bring to a boil; than reduce heat and cook for 5 minute.
  • Stir in cooked pasta;cook until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle with cheese and cook till melted.

1 cup Muir Glen™ organic tomato puree (from 28-oz can)
3 tablespoons chopped fresh basil leaves or 1 tablespoon dried basil leaves
3 tablespoons chopped sun-dried tomatoes (not oil-packed)
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

  • Trim fat from beef. Cut beef with grain into 2-inch strips; cut strips across grain into 1/8-inch slices. (For easier cutting, partially freeze beef about 1 hour.)

I found this recipe in the 2004 Pillsbury " Back To School " Hamburger Cookbook. Now after preparing the recipe, I did a taste test and deciding it needed some " perking up " I added a couple of additional ingredients which made a big difference.Posted to Food.com ( a.k.a. 6 ounces uncooked bow tie pasta i used the mini-bow tie pasta (farfalle)
1 lb ground beef
1 teaspoon seasoning salt
3/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 cup chopped green onion (8 medium)
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can condensed cheddar cheese soup
1 cup thick & chunky salsa, your choice of heat level (I used medium)
1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon Mexican oregano
1 1/2 cups cheddar and american blend cheese (I used a Triple Cheese blend)

Steps:

  • Cook pasta according to package directions,drain and set aside.
  • While pasta is cooking,in a nonstick skillet over medium heat,add ground beef and sprinkle with seasoned salt and garlic powder cook until meat is no longer pink.
  • Drain and return to skillet.
  • Take 2 tablespoons of onions and set aside for garnish;add remaining onions,soup,and salsa into beef, and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat to medium low and cook for 5 minutes.
  • Stir in the pasta,red pepper flakes and oregano and cook for 5 minutes, or until heated through,stirring occasionally.
  • Sprinkle with cheese, cook until just melted and sprinkle with remaining onion.
  • Sprinkle with reserved onion( I just added the onion to each serving,and also sprinkled extra cheese on each serving.).

1 cup frozen bell pepper and onion stir-fry (from 1-lb bag)
1 lb beef strips for stir-fry or beef flank steak, thinly sliced
1 can (14.5 oz) Italian-style stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Fresh basil leaves, if desired
Freshly shredded Parmesan cheese, if desired

Steps:

  • Cook and drain pasta as directed on package.
  • Meanwhile, in 12-inch skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Cook frozen stir-fry vegetables in oil 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Stir in beef. Cook 5 to 6 minutes, stirring frequently, until no longer pink.
