Steps:
- Heat oil in large saucepan. Fry onion until golden brown. With a slotted spoon, remove onion from pan and set aside. To the hot oil, add the rice and spices. Stir and fry for 4 minutes until the rice appears glazed. Add salt and 2 cups boiling water. Bring mixture to a boil again, lower the heat, cover the pan and simmer gently until the water is absorbed. Serve garnished with fried onions.
