Hamburger & Rice Bake image

I also use this recipe for stuffed peppers.

Number Of Ingredients 11

1 pound(s) hamburger
1 can(s) tomato sauce
1/2 cup(s) onion, chopped
1/2 cup(s) green pepper, chopped
1 - bouillon cube
2 teaspoon(s) brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) chili powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 cup(s) cheddar cheese
2 cup(s) instant rice
2 cup(s) water

Steps:

  • Brown hamburger with onion and green pepper.
  • Add tomato sauce, bouillon cube, brown sugar, chili powder and garlic powder and simmer 8-10 minutes.
  • Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil. Add rice and let stand for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in cheese and put into an 8 x 8" pan.
  • Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes at 375º. Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
