HOLIDAY GLAZED CARROTS image

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 lbs carrots
1/4 c margarine
1/2 t salt
1/2 c brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 c water
1/4 c pecans or English walnuts

Steps:

  • 1. Pare and slice carrots and cook until tender in water. Drain and cool. (Mom used the microwave.) 2. In a large skillet, combine margarine, salt, sugar and water. Stir over low heat until margarine melts and sugar dissolves. 3. Reduce heat and add carrots and pecans. Simmer, uncovered, 5 min basting often with syrup.
