Ham Loaf with Ground Beef image

This recipe has been in my husband's family for years, gets made at nearly every get-together. Don't let the peanut butter throw you! It helps hold everything together. The glaze makes the recipe.

1 pound ground ham
1 pound ground pork
1 pound ground beef
2 cups whole wheat flake cereal
2 eggs
3 tablespoons peanut butter
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper to taste
¾ cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon prepared mustard
¼ cup vinegar

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a large bowl, combine ground ham, pork and beef. Mix in wheat cereal, eggs, peanut butter, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper. Shape into a loaf, and place in a roasting pan.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 1 hour. Baste frequently during cooking.
