Number Of Ingredients 13

2.5 lbs ground chuck
1 cup diced onions
1 cup diced red peppers
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, finely chopped
8 oz tomato sauce
1 can petite diced tomatoes
1/4 cup green olives
1/4 cup juice from green olives
2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
kosher salt & ground pepper to taste
2 bay leaves

Steps:

  • Brown ground beef until no pink.
  • Add onion, peppers & garlic to beef; cook 3-4 minutes until veggies are tender.
  • Add all other ingredients; stir well.
  • Transfer to slow cooker.
  • Cook on high for 4 hours or low 6-7.
  • Serve over brown or white rice.
