Steps:
- 1. Mix and match the ingredients as you see fit! Spread one side of two slices of bread with butter or margarine. Pick out a cheese (or two).
- 2. Prepare as you would any grilled cheese sandwich... but on your charcoal or gas grill. You can add the vegetables either before or after making the grilled cheese sandwiches. If you make them without the veggies, remove from heat, open sandwich immediately, put desired veggies on and any toppings of your choice. Put the sanwich back together.
- 3. This part is important!!! Always cut the sandwich on an angle!!! It makes a better presentation.
- 4. *** I like to make these on the outdoor grill to get an added layer of flavor and to keep out of the kitchen when I have guests. It is a nice picnic lunch. *** I serve with big dill pickles, potato salad and a glass of ice with tomato juice...
