Chocolate Coke Cake with Caramel Drizzle image

CAKE
1/2 c butter
1/2 c canola oil
1 c coke
2 c sugar
2 c flour
2 lg eggs
1 c cocoa powder
1/2 c buttermilk
2 tsp vanilla
FROSTING
1/2 c butter
1/2 c coke
1/2 c cocoa powder
1/4 c chocolate syrup
2 tsp vanilla
2-3 c powdered sugar
1/2 c caramel ice cream topping

Steps:

  • 1. Grease a 9 by 13 pan and preheat oven 350 degrees.
  • 2. In a saucepan bring butter coke and oil to a boil. Remove from heat and pour in a large bowl. Beat in the remaining ingredients for the cake. Pour in the pan and bake about 30 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • 3. For the frosting add the butter and cocoa to a bowl. Beat in the coke chocolate syrup and vanilla. Slowly beat in the powdered sugar until the it reaches the desired consistency
  • 4. Spread on cooled cake and drizzle the caramel topping over top and serve
