Chicken Stir Fry with Black Vinegar Sauce image

You can find black vinegar at any Asian store or online

Number Of Ingredients 17

FOR THE STIR FRY
1 Tbsp oil
2 boneless skinless chicken thighs sliced
1/2 bunch asparagus trimmed
1 c snow peas
1 c shredded carrots
3 green onions chopped
1/2 c fresh cilantro chopped
FOR THE BLACK VINEGAR SAUCE
2 tsp toasted sesame seeds
1/4 c soy sauce
1/4 c black vinegar
1 Tbsp each fresh ginger grated and chopped garlic
1/2 tsp hot chili oil
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
3 Tbsp mirin
rice for serving

Steps:

  • 1. To make the sauce. Mix all ingredients together and set aside.
  • 2. The stir fry Add oil to a wok or heavy pan. Add the chicken and brown it.
  • 3. Add the asparagus and stir fry for 3 minutes. Add the snow peas and carrots stir fry 2 minutes. Add the sauce and cook 2 minutes
  • 4. Serve over rice and garnish with green onions and cilantro
