SWEET POTATO AND APPLE BAKE image

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 lb. peeled sweet potatoes
2 Golden Delicious apples, cored and halved
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
4 tbl butter, cut into small pieces
2 tb. brown sugar
1/4 cup slivered almonds

Steps:

  • French Fry Disc: Run sweet potatoes and apples through disc horizontally so long "allumettes" are obtained. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and cinnamon and place in a buttered "au gratin" dish or casserole. Drizzle with honey or sprinkle with brown sugar and dot with butter. Sprinkle on almonds and bake in a preheated 350 oven for approximately 1 hour or until tender.
