SWEET CHERRY AND CHICKPEA RAVIOLI/STREUDEL image

Filling
1 can (15 oz) chick peas, rinsed and drained
3/8 c thick-style cherry jam or preserves (e.g.brandied cranberries)
1/4 finely chopped semisweet chocolate
3 Tbl confectioner's sugar for dusting
Finely grated zest from 1 lemon
1/4 tsp fine sea salt
Generous pinch cinnamon or five spice
dough - see original recipe or filo pastry (1/2 - 1 box)
butter, melted
Almond, finely ground
Additional add-ins to filling
finely cut apple
brie

Steps:

  • Mash chickpeas with a fork in bowl.
