SAVORY PASTA DINNER image

Number Of Ingredients 10

3/4 lb penne pasta
1 lb portobello mushrooms, stemmed
1/2 lb each cremini and shitake mushrooms
3 Tablespoon olive oil
4 cloves garlic, crushed
3/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 teaspoon pepper
1 cup heavy cream
1/3 cup chopped italian parsley
1/3 cup shredded Parmesan

Steps:

  • In pot, bring salted water to a boil. Cook penne according to package directions. Slice portobellos; halve slices crosswise. Slice creminis; stem and quarter shiitakes. In skillet, heat oil. Add all mushrooms, garlic, salt and pepper. Saute until tender (8 minutes). Add cream and simmer 2 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat. Drain pasta, return to pot. Add mushroom mixture, parsley and half of Parmesan. Serve and top with Parmesan.
