This was the first fresh fruit pie I ever made. I got the recipe from a Bon Appetit magazine in the 70''s. However, I used my Granny Leda's pie crust since it was the best. This is not your typical mushy peach pie.I think you'll like it.

Steps:
- Mix peaches, sugar, lemon, sugar, flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour into crust.
- Dot top with butter.
- Seal edge of crust with juice or water.
- Slit top of pie to let juice steam out
- Baste top with milk, sprinkle with sugar
- Cover edge of crust with foil.
- Bake 45-50 minutes, removing foil for last 15 minutes.
