- Gradually add milk.
- Bring to a boil over medium heat;boil and stir for 2 minutes.
- Remove from the heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
- Spoon into individual serving dishes.
- Chill until serving.
- Sprinkle with M&M's if desired.
