Number Of Ingredients 11

1 teaspoon(s) vegetable oil
1 pound(s) ground beef, 90% lean
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt & pepper
1 large onion, chopped fine
3 tablespoon(s) ketchup
1 tablespoon(s) worcestershire sauce, reduced sodium
1 tablespoon(s) mustard, spicy brown
2 cup(s) cheddar cheese, shredded
2 3/4 cup(s) bisquick baking mix
1/4 teaspoon(s) cayenne pepper
2/3 cup(s) milk

Steps:

  • Adjust oven rack to middle position & preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
  • Line 13" x 9" baking dish with parchment paper & spray with cooking spray. Heat oil in 12" skillet over medium high heat until just smoking. Add beef, salt & pepper & cook, breaking pieces with spoon, until browned, 5 - 7 minutes. Stir in onion & cook, 1 minute. Turn off heat, stir in ketchup, worcestershire & mustard; set aside & cool slightly, 10 minutes. Stir in 1 C cheese.
  • Combine bisquick, remaining cheese & cayenne in a large bowl. Stir in milk until well combined. Form dough into ball & transfer to lightly floured counter or board. Roll dough into 14" x 9" rectangle, with long sides parallel to edge of counter.
  • Spread hamburger mixture evenly over dough, leaving 1/2" border on long sides. Roll into a tight log, slice into 8 servings & place cut side down in prepared baking dish. Press each pinwheel into 1" thickness. Bake 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool 10 minutes before serving. Seperate pinwheels & serve.
