GRUYERE BACON MUFFINS image

Yield 10 muffins

2 cups flour
2 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg
6 slices of bacon
1 cup milk
1/2 cup gruyere cheese
4 tablespoon melted salted butter
2 tablespoon sour cream or other moisturizer
Chopped herbs (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400 Grease muffin pans Fry bacon for 6-8 min, remove with tongs, dry with paper towel, crumble bacon Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a bowl Whisk eggs, melted butter, sour cream and milk in separate bowl Add egg mixture to dry ingredients and mix together Using rubber spatula, fold in cheese, bacon and herbs Spoon batter into muffin tins Bake for 20-25 min until golden
