- 1. Heat olive oil in large skillet or wok over medium-low heat. Add garlic. Cook and stir until lightly toasted. Add rice and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until grains of rice are separated and lightly fried. Season with salt and pepper. Ladle onto platter and serve hot.
