Crab Cobbler image

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon Ac'cent (optional)
1 cup milk
1 cup shredded American cheese
1 cup crabmeat
1 1/2 cups drained chopped tomatoes
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • In top of a double boiler, add butter, green pepper, and chopped onion; let cook about 10 minutes. Blend in flour, dry mustard, Ac'cent, milk, and cheese; cook and stir until cheese melts and mixture is very thick. Add crabmeat, tomatoes, Worcestershire, and salt. Pour into a greased 2-quart casserole. Cheese Bisquick Topping: Combine all ingredients and drop by teaspoons on top of crab mixture. Bake in 450° oven 20-25 minutes.
