Time 40m

Number Of Ingredients 2

1 c fresh ground coffee
1 egg

Steps:

  • 1. Mix the coffee grounds and the egg and mix well. Refrigerate in a tightly closed container for 2 hours or overnight.
  • 2. Use usual measurements of coffee and water. You will need to use a stove top coffee pot, a clear pyrex coffee pot is best. You will add the coffee mixture directly into the water.
  • 3. Boil water, add coffee grounds/egg mixture. ( If you normally use 2 scoops of coffee for 4 cups of water measure that and add to water). Return to a boil. Remove from heat and add a "shot" of cold water to settle the grounds. If you brew it correctly, you should see a "foxtail red" colored coffee.
  • 4. Serve only 3/4 of the liquid as the grounds settle to the bottom of the pot.
