Company Cabbage image

A delicious cabbage recipe which can be served, as the name implies, to dinner guest. The English name cabbage comes from the French word caboche, meaning head, referring to its round form.

Number Of Ingredients 9

2 tablespoon(s) butter ( or margarine )
8 cup(s) finely shredded cabbage
1 clove(s) garlic, minced
1/2 cup(s) dairy sour cream
1 tablespoon(s) sugar
2 tablespoon(s) vinegar
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) caraway seeds (optional )
1/4 cup(s) water

Steps:

  • Heat butter in large skillet. Add cabbage, garlic, and 1/4 cup water. Cover tightly and steam over low heat for 10 to 12 minutes
  • Blend next four ingredients; stir into cabbage. Heat through but DO NOT BOIL. Sprinkle with caraway seeds
