Catalina Dressing image

In 5 minutes, you have a colorful and tasty dressing for your garden salad plus it's much better than the commercial ones...

Number Of Ingredients 12

1/4 c ketchup
2 Tbsp chili sauce, such as heinz
2 Tbsp sherry vinegar
1 Tbsp tomato paste
2 Tbsp agave nectar (substitute honey)
1 tsp worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp sweet paprika
1/4 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp onion powder
ground himalayan sea salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper, to taste (i always use mixed peppercorns)
1/2 c vegetable oil, such as grapeseed or canola

Steps:

  • 1. In the jar of a blender, add ketchup, chili sauce, sherry vinegar, tomato paste, agave nectar, Worcestershire sauce, sweet paprika, garlic salt, onion powder, ground sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  • 2. Place the lid on without the cap and start the blender on medium speed. Emulsify the oil by slowly pouring it into the mixture - don't rush it otherwise the oil will separate. Taste and adjust if necessary. Makes 1 ΒΌ cups
