9 slices OSCAR MAYER Fully Cooked Bacon, cut into 1/4-inch pieces
1/2 cup pepitas
1/4 cup pecan pieces
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup water

Steps:

  • Grease baking sheet; set aside. Spread bacon onto microwaveable paper towel. Microwave on HIGH 1 min. Transfer bacon to medium bowl. Immediately add pepper; toss to coat. Add pepitas and pecans; mix lightly.
  • Mix sugar, corn syrup and water in medium saucepan. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring constantly. Cover with lid. Cook 2 to 3 min. or until sugar is dissolved. (Do not stir.) Remove lid from saucepan. Continue boiling sugar mixture 20 min. or until mixture reaches hard-crack stage (300ºF to 310ºF). Remove from heat. Immediately stir in bacon mixture; pour onto prepared baking sheet. Use greased spoon or spatula to spread bacon mixture into even layer; cool completely.
  • Break brittle into bite-size pieces. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
