This has all the flavor of jalapeno poppers in an easy to make dip! I have mixed the Parmesan cheese in with the dip and omitted the cracker and butter topping, but baked as usual, too.

7 slices bacon, diced
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup chopped green onion
5 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
1 cup crushed buttery round crackers
½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
¼ cup butter, melted

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Cook and stir bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crisp, about 10 minutes. Remove bacon with a slotted spoon to a plate lined with paper towels to drain.
  • Stir bacon, cream cheese, mayonnaise, Cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, green onion, and jalapeno peppers together in a bowl; spread into a 9-inch round baking dish.
  • Mix crackers, Parmesan cheese, and butter together in a bowl; spread over the top of the cream cheese mixture.
  • Bake in preheated oven until bubbly, 20 to 30 minutes.

4 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 large egg, lightly beaten
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1-1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 can (8 ounces) lump crabmeat, drained
2 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
8 jalapeno peppers

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. In a small bowl, beat the first 5 ingredients until blended. Stir in shredded cheese, crab and bacon. Cut jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove seeds. Spoon filling into pepper halves. Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake until lightly browned, 15-20 minutes. Sprinkle with additional parsley.,

2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chiles
1 can (4 ounces) diced jalapeno peppers
1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 tablespoon olive oil
Sliced green onions, optional
Corn chips, tortilla chips or assorted crackers

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, mayonnaise, cheddar, chiles, peppers and 1/4 cup Parmesan until blended. Spoon into an ungreased 1-1/2-qt. baking dish., In a small bowl, combine the bread crumbs, oil and remaining Parmesan. Sprinkle over cheese mixture. 16 fresh jalapeno chiles
2 1/2 cups milk
1/4 lb grated cheddar cheese
1/4 lb cream cheese
1 (8 ounce) can lump crabmeat, drained and checked for shells
flour, for coating
1 lightly beaten egg
2 1/2 teaspoons water
1 teaspoon oil
3/4 cup dry seasoned bread crumbs
oil (for deep frying)

Steps:

  • Carefully make a lengthwise slit up the side of each chile and remove the seed sack.
  • Cover the jalapenos with milk and soak overnight in the refrigerator.
  • Mix cheese and crab.
  • Drain, rinse and fill each chile with cheese mixture.
  • Coat each one lightly with flour (this helps the coating adhere).
  • Mix together the egg, water and oil and dip each chile in the mixture, then in the crumbs.
  • Make sure all the surface is coated with crumbs; gently pat any loose crumbs into place.
  • Place the chiles on a rack, to dry at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before frying.
  • This is important, because otherwise the coating will come off while frying.
  • Deep fry the chiles in hot oil until golden brown, drain on paper towels season with salt and serve hot with salsa or your favorite sauce.

2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 package (8 ounces) imitation crabmeat, chopped
1/4 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar cheese
12 turkey bacon strips, halved widthwise

Steps:

  • Cut stems off jalapenos; remove seeds and membranes; set aside. In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder until blended. Stir in crab and cheese. , Transfer to a resealable plastic bag; cut a small hole in a corner of the bag. Pipe filling into jalapenos. Wrap each with a piece of bacon; secure with toothpicks. , Place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350° for 40-50 minutes or until peppers are crisp-tender.
