- In a small saucepan, combine first five ingredients; cook and stir over medium heat until blended. Remove from heat., On eight metal or soaked wooden skewers, alternately thread fruit and pound cake. Place on a greased rack over medium heat. Grill, uncovered, until lightly browned and fruit is tender, brushing occasionally with apricot mixture.

- Thread the strawberries, cantaloupe, banana and apple pieces alternately onto skewers, placing at least 2 pieces of fruit on each skewer. Arrange the fruit skewers decoratively on a serving platter.

DESSERT FRUIT SKEWERS
A quick yet elegant dessert or brunch item. My slight adaptation of Ontario's LCBO BBQ book recipe from Summer 2011. To be paired with Malibu Black Coconut Flavored Rum.

Steps:
- Place fruit in marinade (honey, lemon juice and zest, brown sugar) for a few minutes.
- Skewer fruit on pre-soaked bamboo skewers. Spray grill with oil and BBQ fruit on medium heat, turning to caramelize marinade. Cook until grill marks form.
- Mix hazelnut spread with rum and serve over hot fruit.
- I added a handful of fresh, wild blueberries for a little zing.
- Option: serve over vanilla ice cream.
BROWNIE AND FRUIT KABOBS
Deliver dessert in an all new way. Create kabobs with brownies and fruit drizzled with chocolate - yum!

Steps:
- Heat oven to 350° F (325° F for dark or nonstick pan). Line pan with foil, letting foil hang 2 inches over side of pan. Spray or grease bottom only of foil. Make brownies as directed on package. Spread in pan.
- Bake 28 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted 2 inches from side comes out almost clean. Cool completely. Lift brownie from pan; remove foil. Cut brownies into 1 1/4-inch squares.
- Line cookie sheets with waxed paper. Alternately, thread 3 brownie squares, 2 pineapple chunks, 2 strawberry halves and 2 banana slices on each skewer. Place kabobs on waxed paper.
- In small microwaveable bowl, microwave chocolate chips and butter uncovered on High 1 to 2 minutes, stirring once until chocolate is melted. Drizzle over kabobs.
