When money was short and times were tough, my mother still made this banana milk drink for us. We thought it was happiness in a glass. I recall running home from school, hoping to find this delicious drink ready for me. Number Of Ingredients 5

1 large ripe banana
1 cup milk
1-1/2 to 2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash ground cinnamon, optional

Steps:

  • Place the first four ingredients in a blender; cover and process until smooth. Pour into glasses; sprinkle with cinnamon if desired. Serve immediately.

1 ripe banana, thinly sliced
1 teaspoon ground almonds
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup skim milk

Steps:

  • Put the banana slices, honey, almond and 50 ml (3-4 tbsp) of milk into the blender. Blend for about 35-40 seconds. (you want a smooth mixture).
  • Pour in the rest of the milk and mix again for about 35-40 seconds. Pour into a glass and drink with the bubbles.
  • You can also add in a couple ice cubes.
