Yield 64 cookies

Number Of Ingredients 8

1 egg
1 C. brown sugar
1 T. vanilla
1/2 C flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. baking soda
1 C chopped walnuts
Confectioner's sugar for dusting.

Steps:

  • Beat egg with sugar until light. Stir in vanilla. Sift dry ingredients. Add dry ingredients to sugar-egg mixture. Mix in chopped walnuts. Spread batter in a buttered 8x8 inch pan and bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes. Cool, but cut into 1x1 cookies while still warm. Cookies will have a crunchy crust, but will be quite wet inside. Dust with confectioner' sugar. Store in an airtight container. These are best made 1 day in advance.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 cup flour
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups brown sugar
1 cup chopped walnuts or 1 cup pecans
1 cup shredded coconut
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • For Bottom Layer mix ingredients and press into 9 X 13 pan greased with butter Bake for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
  • For Top: Mix ingredients together and spread on top of cooled bottom layer.
  • Bake 350 F for 25 minutes till golden brown.
  • Let cool till set and cut into squares.

2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup margarine or butter, softened
2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
3 cups Special K® crispy rice cereal (crushed to 1 1/2 cup)

Steps:

  • 1. In medium mixing bowl, combine flour, soda, and salt. Set aside.2. Measure margarine and sugar into medium mixing bowl beat well. Add dry ingredients, walnuts, and KELLOGG'S SPECIAL K cereal mix thoroughly. Drop by level measuring-tablespoon onto lightly greased baking sheets about 2 inches apart.3. Bake at 350°F about 17 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove immediately from baking sheets cool on wire racks.
