How to make baked potatoes? Try this soft, fluffy, baked potato recipe. In the oven, no foil, cream, bacon and you get the best oven-baked potato ever!

2 potatoes (medium to big potatoes)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 slices of bacon
1-2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons grated cheese
Pinch of salt and pepper

Steps:

  • Scrub potatoes with water and pat dry. Prick the potato with a fork. Rub 1 tablespoon olive oil on the potatoes
  • Preheat the oven to 375℉ and bake the potatoes for 1 hour in the middle of the oven on a rack. You can put foil on the rack
  • Bake bacon until crisp and cut into small pieces.
  • Take the potatoes out of the oven and cut the top of lengthwise. Remove the inside of the potato and put it in a bowl
  • Add sour cream, bacon bits (save about 1 tablespoon) and 2 tablespoons grated cheese
  • Mash the potatoes with a fork and spoon back into the potato
  • Sprinkle with 1 teaspoon extra grated cheese, chives, and bacon bits
  • In the oven for 10 more minutes or until the cheese has melted

1 medium baking potato
1 teaspoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons butter
1 pinch freshly ground black pepper
¼ cup shredded Cheddar cheese

Steps:

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Scrub the potato, and pierce the skin several times with a knife or fork. Rub the skin with olive oil, then with salt.
  • Place the potato in the preheated oven, and bake for 90 minutes, or until slightly soft and golden brown. Slice the potato down the center, and serve with butter and black pepper. Sprinkle shredded Cheddar cheese over the top, if desired.

Delicious and simple potatoes...great as a side for barbecued meats. I found this in the Daily Herald, it's originally from a suburban Chicago catering company.

Number Of Ingredients 7

2 lbs small red potatoes
1 cup ranch dressing
2 tablespoons melted butter
1 teaspoon Hungarian paprika
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup parmesan cheese, grated

Steps:

  • Place potatoes in a pot, cover with water and boil until fork tender, about 20 minutes; cool, then cut into fourths.
  • Heat oven to 400°.
  • Combine ranch dressing and melted butter in a bowl.
  • Combine the paprika, white pepper and salt; mix half of the spice mixture into the dressing mixture and then combine that mix with the potatoes.
  • Pour potato mixture into a greased, 9x13-inch casserole dish, or a pan large enough so that potatoes form a single layer; sprinkle the parmesan cheese evenly over the top and sprinkle the remaining spice mixture over that.
  • Bake on middle rach of oven for 20 minutes, or until golden brown.

BISTRO-STYLE POTATOES

4 slices bacon
1 onion medium, halved and sliced
1 bay leaf large, broken in half
1/2 teaspoon thyme dried, crushed
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 russet potatoes medium sliced 1/8 -inch thick (about 1 1/2 lb.)
1/4 cup hot water
1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
parsley Chopped (optional)

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350°.In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté bacon until almost done. Remove bacon and set aside. Drain off and reserve bacon drippings. Return skillet to heat.Add onion, 1 tablespoon of the bacon drippings, bay leaf, thyme, salt and pepper. Sauté onion until limp. Remove onion and bay leaf set aside.Sauté potatoes in 1 tablespoon of the bacon drippings, adding more if needed, for 5 minutes or until potatoes begin to brown on edges. Stir in bacon and onion. Transfer to a shallow 1 1/2 -quart baking dish or 9-inch pie plate.In a small bowl, stir water and bouillon granules. Pour evenly over potato mixture.Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until potatoes are tender and top is golden. Remove bay leaf. If desired, sprinkle with parsley.
