1 (18 ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
3 tablespoons cornstarch
2 drops hot pepper sauce
salt, to taste

Steps:

  • In a large saucepan, combine pineapple juice and tomato sauce.
  • Gently stir over medium heat until hot.
  • Stir vinegar into cornstarch. Add to pineapple mixture, stir until thickened, about 3 minutes.
  • Stir in hot pepper sauce and salt(optional).
  • Okay, you are done!

1/2 cup Splenda
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup ketchup, regular, lower sugar, or sugar-free
3/4 cup diet ginger ale
3/4 cup or small can pineapple chunks with juice
1 teaspoon Grenadine, optional
1 dash of soy sauce
1 or 2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 1/4 cup water until smooth

Steps:

  • In a non-stick pan pour in the Splenda then add the wine vinegar, ketchup, ginger ale, pineapple, Grenadine, and Worcestershire sauce. Mix all ingredients with a whisk until everything is blended, on a medium heat bring the ingredients to a soft boil. Once everything is beginning to boil add the corn starch until you reach your desired thickness. All ingredients can be increased or decreased to suit your own sweetness or sour.
