2 cups homemade refried beans (or 1 (16 oz.) can storebought)
2/3 cup salsa
4 oz. cream cheese
1/2 cup sour cream ((or Greek yogurt))
thinly sliced green onions ((optional))

Steps:

  • Add ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat on high for 1 minute.
  • Stir, then continue heating in increments of 30 seconds until you are able to completely combine the ingredients.
  • If desired, top with green onions.
  • Serve warm with tortilla chips.

1 (16 ounce) can refried beans
1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
1 (10 ounce) can diced tomatoes and green chiles (such as RO*TEL®), drained
salt to taste
2 tablespoons shredded Cheddar cheese, or to taste

Steps:

  • Combine refried beans, pinto beans, diced tomatoes and green chiles, and salt in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 4 1/2 to 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the microwave and stir until pinto beans are slightly mashed. Sprinkle Cheddar cheese on top and serve immediately.

This is absolutely the best bean dip anywhere. Enjoy it with tortilla chips, or add some to your tacos or burritos. Don't tell anyone, but I even serve it in lieu of regular refried beans as a side dish!

2 cup(s) basic refried beans (or one 15-16 ounce can of good quality canned refried beans)
5 slice(s) canned sliced jalapeños
1 tablespoon(s) brine from the bottled jalapeños
1/2 teaspoon(s) kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) granulated white sugar
1/2 teaspoon(s) sazón seasoning (optional) (available in the latin section...or make your own at https://www.justapinch.com/recipes/main-course/main-course-chicken/spring-hill-ranchs-sazon-seasoning.html )
1/4 teaspoon(s) onion powder
1/4 teaspoon(s) paprika
1/8 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon(s) ground cayenne pepper

Steps:

  • In the bowl of a food processor, place the beans, jalapeños, brine, salt, sugar, sazón (if using), onion powder, paprika, garlic powder and cayenne. Pulse-process until the mixture is smooth. Transfer the dip to a bowl and place it in the 'fridge for at least an hour before serving. Store it in the refrigerator.
