Spending an afternoon on the front porch is just not the same without homemade lemonade especially when it's sparkling pink!

1 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups (about 6 lemons) freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 liter club soda, * chilled
4 teaspoons grenadine syrup **
6-inch wooden skewers
Fresh fruit pieces (strawberries, melon balls, pineapple chunks, etc.)

Steps:

  • Combine sugar and lemon juice in 2-quart pitcher. Stir well; refrigerate at least 30 minutes.
  • Just before serving, add club soda. Stir in grenadine syrup.
  • Thread fruit pieces onto 6-inch wooden skewers to make kabobs. Place kabobs in glasses; add ice. Pour in lemonade mixture.

1 tablespoon pink peppercorns
2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
2 1/4 cups pink lemonade, chilled
3/4 cup gin
1 750-ml bottle sparkling rose, chilled

Steps:

  • Combine the peppercorns, sugar and lemon zest in a shallow bowl. Smash with the back of a wooden spoon until the peppercorns are crushed. Moisten the rims of 6 glasses with a little lemonade, then dip in the peppercorn mixture.
  • Combine the lemonade, gin and sparkling rose in a pitcher. Fill the prepared glasses with ice, then add the cocktail.

1/4 cup raspberries

Steps:

  • Cut 1 lime into 4 slices; reserve for garnish. Squeeze juice from remaining limes into 1-1/2-qt. plastic or glass pitcher.
  • Add drink mixes, club soda and nectar; stir until mixes are dissolved.
  • Serve in ice-filled glasses topped with raspberries. Garnish with reserved lime slices.

1/4 cup lemon zest strips (about 1-1/2 lemons)

4 cups water, divided
2 medium peaches, chopped
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup lemon juice
1 medium lemon, sliced
Mint sprigs, optional

Steps:

  • In a small saucepan, bring 2 cups water, peaches and sugar to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 5-7 minutes or until peaches are tender. Remove from the heat. Cool. Strain, discarding peach skins., In a large pitcher, combine the peach mixture, lemon juice and remaining water. Add lemon slices and mint if desired. Serve over ice.
