2 1/2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons chopped green onions
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon bottled ground fresh ginger
1/4 teaspoon dark sesame oil
1 tablespoon canola oil
4 (6 ounce) tilapia fillets
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
4 cups gourmet salad greens

Steps:

  • To prepare dressing, combine first 6 ingredients in a bowl, stirring well with a whisk.
  • To prepare fish, heat canola oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sprinkle fish evenly with salt and pepper. Add fish to pan; cook 3 minutes on each side or until fish flakes easily when tested with a fork or until desired degree of doneness.
  • Arrange 1 cup greens on each of 4 plates. Top each serving with 1 fish fillet; drizzle with 2 tablespoons dressing.

Chipotle-Honey Glazed Tilapia image

There's nothing fishy about perfectly cooked sweet-and-spicy tilapia.

1/2 cup chipotle chiles in adobo sauce
2 tablespoons honey
2 scallions, white and green parts, roughly chopped
3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
Four 6- to 8-ounce tilapia fillets
Coleslaw and lemon wedges, for serving

Steps:

  • Put the chipotle chiles, honey, scallions, 2 tablespoons of the oil, 1 teaspoon salt and a few grinds of pepper in a food processor and pulse until combined. Transfer to a large bowl, add the tilapia and toss to coat evenly; set aside for 10 minutes at room temperature.
  • Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add the tilapia and cook, turning once, until just cooked through, 5 to 7 minutes. Serve with coleslaw and lemon wedges on the side.
