1 cup sliced green onions
1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup mayonnaise
1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/2 cup chopped ripe olives
1/2 cup chopped pimiento-stuffed olives
1 loaf (1 pound) snack rye bread

Steps:

  • In a bowl, combine the onions, cheeses, mayonnaise, mushrooms and olives. Spread on bread slices and place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until bubbly.

  • Spread about 1 TBS on each slice of bread.
  • Sprinkle with parmesan cheese.

1 pound lean ground beef
1 pound ground sausage
1 pound processed cheese, cubed
16 ounces cocktail rye bread

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place ground beef and ground sausage in a large, deep skillet. Cook over medium high heat until evenly brown. Drain fluids.
  • In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the processed cheese.
  • Mix the melted processed cheese into the meat mixture. Spoon the blended mixture onto cocktail rye bread slices. Arrange slices in a single layer on a large baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven 10 to 12 minutes, until processed cheese begins to brown. Serve warm

1 loaf rye cocktail bread
1 lb hot pork sausage (breakfast style)
1 lb Velveeta cheese
1 teaspoon oregano
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 (4 ounce) can mushrooms, chopped
1/4 green pepper, chopped
1/8 teaspoon cayenne

Steps:

  • Brown sausage and drain.
  • Melt cheese, add remaining ingredients.
  • Spread on Rye cocktail rounds.
  • Place on cookie sheet and freeze. After freezing, they can be stored in plastic bags until ready for use.
