Steps:
- Bake walnuts in 350 degree oven for 7-10 minutes until browned. Transfer to food processor, add beans, lemon juice, garlic, oil and 1/4 cup water (optional - I didn't add and liked the thicker texture). Puree until smooth. Serving suggestion: spread whole wheat bread slices with walnut pate, top with roasted red pepper or fig or pear and add arugula or spinach.
