TUNA TARTAR image

Yield 1 Bowl

Number Of Ingredients 13

3/4 lb. fresh tuna steak
4T olive oil
Grated zest of 1 lime
3T lime juice
1/2 t wasabi powder
1 1/2 t soy sauce
6 dashes of Tabasco
1 1/2 t kosher salt
1t pepper
2 finely minced scallions
2t finely minced jalapeño
1 ripe avocado
1 t sesame seeds

Steps:

  • Cut tuna into 1/4 inch dice. Mix oil,zest, juice and seasonings and pour over tuna. Add onion and jalapeño. Mix well. Cut avocado inti 1/4 inch dice and gently fold into tuna mixture. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour for flavors to blend
