SWISS 'N' CHICKEN BAKE image

Such an easy dish to make when you're rushed, and hearty, filling, and tasty too. You could add your favorite vegetables instead of, or in addition to, the celery. The original recipe came from Kraft, though I have added some changes of my own. Photo: kraftrecipes.com 11-09-14

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 cup(s) chopped cooked chicken
2 cup(s) croutons
1-1/2 cup(s) shredded swiss cheese
2/3 cup(s) mayonnaise
1/2 cup(s) milk
4 stalk(s) celery, sliced
1/4 cup(s) onion, chopped
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper
1/3 cup(s) sliced almonds

Steps:

  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients. Place into a 2-qt. casserole sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Sprinkle almonds over top of mixture.
  • Bake in a preheated 350ยบ oven for 40 minutes or until heated through.
  • NOTE: You may substitute 3 cans (12.5 oz.ea.) of chicken breast, drained and flaked, for the chopped cooked fresh chicken.
