Spicy Bloody Marys image

This bloody mary has lots of added flavor and texture. So be prepared for a different take on bloody marys! This yummy drink comes from Ina Garten. Cheers! Note: the prep time given does not include the chilling time.

Number Of Ingredients 10

3 large celery stalks, plus additional stalks for serving
3 teaspoon(s) prepared horseradish
2 teaspoon(s) grated yellow onion
1/2 cup(s) freshly squeezed lemon juice (3 lemons)
1 teaspoon(s) worchestershire sauce
1 teaspoon(s) celery salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon(s) tabasco, or to taste
46 ounce(s) sacramento tomato juice
2 cup(s) vodka

Steps:

  • Cut the celery in large dices, including the leaves, and puree it in the bowl of a food processor. Add the horseradish, onion, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, celery salt, kosher salt, and Tabasco and puree again.
  • Pour the tomato juice into a 2 1/2 quart container, stir in the celery and seasonings mixture, then add the vodka and chill. Put a few ice cubes into each glass, pour in the bloody mary mixture, and garnish with a celery stick.
