Slow-Cooker Gumbo image

Number Of Ingredients 10

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1/2 pound fully cooked smoked sausage, chopped
2 ribs celery, sliced
1 onion, chopped
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
5 cups chicken broth
1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
1 (10-ounce) box frozen cut okra, thawed, drained
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco
3 cups hot cooked rice

Steps:

  • Mix all ingredients in a slow cooker except rice. Cook on low setting 7 hours. Spoon gumbo over rice in 6-8 soup bowls. Offer additional tabasco.
