Shrimp Dip image

I took several dip recipes and took the things that I liked from each of them. This is what I came up with. It is very rich, but tastes very good.

Number Of Ingredients 10

1/2 tsp louisiana hot sauce
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp garlic salt
2 can(s) shrimp, drained
1/2 yellow onion, chopped fine
1/4 lb margarine, softened
8 oz cream cheese, softened
4 Tbsp mayonnaise

Steps:

  • 1. Drain and rinse the shrimp. Soak the drained shrimp in the lemon juice and the hot sauce.
  • 2. Add the seasonings. Do this step the day before serving the dip. Keep in the refrigerator.
  • 3. Combine all ingredients, except shrimp, with a mixer.
  • 4. Add shrimp, and mix a little. Chill. Serve with crackers or Fritos.
