Shrimp Dip image

This is from Southern Living's Cooking for Company cookbook. Serve with fresh vegetable crudites or crackers.

Number Of Ingredients 7

1 lb cooked peeled, deveined and chopped shrimp
8 ounces package cream cheese, softened
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/3 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons seafood cocktail sauce
salt and pepper (to taste)
2 -3 tablespoons finely chopped green peppers (optional)

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in blender or food processor until thoroughly mixed. Place in serving dish and sprinkle lightly with paprika, if desired, for color. Chill till serving time.
  • Serve with crackers or crudites (sliced red and green peppers, carrot sticks, celery sticks, cucumber spears, blanched fresh snow peas, blanched cauliflowerets or broccoli flowerets).
