Shaker Oatmeal Pie image

Oatmeal pies were popular in the 50's, but have become something that isn't so popular today. However, it is delicious. Give this one a try.

3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup clear Karo syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla
6 tablespoons butter, softened
3/4 cup oats
2 eggs, slightly beaten
1 (9 inch) pie shells

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix together sugar, syrup, and butter. Fold in eggs and vanilla. Stir in oats.
  • Pour into the pie shell and bake for 30 minutes.
