How to make Perini Ranch Steakhouse Chili

Number Of Ingredients 11

4 lbs. chili meat, coarse grind or lean ground beef
1 large onion, diced
1 jar (16 oz.) chunky style picante sauce, medium heat
1 can (16 oz.) stewed tomatoes
1 tsp. minced garlic
1 Tbsp. cumin seed
3 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. dried oregano
2 cups hot water
salt and pepper, to taste
1 fresh jalapeno

Steps:

  • In heavy skillet, over medium-high heat brown meat, onion and garlic.
  • Add oregano, chili powder, cumin, tomatoes and hot water. Bring to a boil, lower heat and simmer about one hour.
  • Add jalapeno, salt, pepper and picante sauce. Cook additional 15 minutes.
