Steps:
- Preheat oven to 375 F
- In a bowl and using electric mixer, beat butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time. Stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl and using a wooden spoon, stir together flour, oats and baking soda; stir into butter mixture until just blended. Stir in chips.
- Roll dough into balls 4cm in diameter. Place on ungreased cookie sheet 5cm apart.
- One sheet at a time, bake in the centre of the oven for 12 minutes or until just golden. Let cool on cookie sheet 1 minute, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
