This a very simple trifle. You can add chocolate , coconut, or bananas. Or leave it plain. Use it as a pie, it will make 2 pies. Or eat it as a pudding. Anyway you choose, it's great! So just pig out.

Steps:
- In a sauce pan, combine milk and butter.
- Bring to a boil.
- Mix a medium bowl, combine eggs, sugar, cornstarch and salt.
- Slowly whisk 1 c.
- hot milk mix.

- Gradually whisk egg back to remaining milk mix.
- Continue to cook, stirring constantly for 5 min.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Allow to cool.
