NANA'S BROWNIES image

Number Of Ingredients 16

BATTER:
1/2 cup butter
1 cup white sugar
2 eggs beaten
1 tsp vanilla
salt
2 squares Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate melted
3/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup chopped nuts ( optional )
Cherries for decorating.
ICING:
2 squares Bakers Unsweetened Chocolate
6 tbsp white sugar
6 tbsp cream
1 tbsp butter

Steps:

  • Batter: Heat oven to 350-400 degrees Cream butter and sugar. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Add melted chocolate In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients. Add to batter. Place wax paper or parchment paper in bottom of 8 inch square bake pan Pour batter. Bake for 25 minutes. ICING: Boil all ingredients until thick. Let cool. Apply to baked, cooled brownie mixture. Decorate with cherries
