Steps:
- Cook sausage and set aside. In a different pan, melt the butter and cook the onion, garlic and celery until tender. In a bowl, combine the cooked celery and onions with the bread and bread crumbs (tear apart the bread into small pieces). Moisten with the chicken broth and egg and then add the seasonings. Lastly, fold in the grated cheese. It is best to let the dressing sit overnight in the refrigerator and then you can taste it the next day and add any additional salt or pepper to taste.
