Meatloaf Surprise image

This recipe came about one night when I didn't have quite enough ground beef for a meatloaf so I decided that maybe if I used the left over sausage from breakfast it should make enough meatloaf for dinner. And voila' I had meatloaf surprise, I was surprised it came out delicious. Grandma always said to improvise when I come up...

Number Of Ingredients 7

1/12 lb lean ground beef
3-4 stalk(s) fresh celery
1-2 c progresso italian bread crumbs
1 jar(s) pasta sauce
1/4 c v8 black pepper vegtable juice
2-3 eggs
8-16 oz ground sweet / mild sausage

Steps:

  • 1. In a large bowl place the ground beef and sausage in the bowl and individually mix in each ingredient till all the above ingredients have been added. Mix it all together with your hands or a large spoon, your choice.
  • 2. Lightly oil a glass/metal/ceramic baking bread dish scoop the meatloaf mix into it, smooth it out to your liking so that it sits evenly in the pan.
  • 3. preheat the oven to 300 degrees, bake the meatloaf at 400 for 30 to 40 minutes. When done remove from oven and let cool just abit. Serve with pasta,potatoes, or whatever you like.
