Mary Jane's Pineapple Cookies image

This is a favorite recipe that the Bockler kids had at the DuBois kids house.

Number Of Ingredients 9

1 cup(s) butter, softened
1 1/2 cup(s) sugar
1 - egg
9 ounce(s) can crushed pineapple with juice
3 1/2 cup(s) flour
1 teaspoon(s) soda
1/2 teaspoon(s) salt
1/4 teaspoon(s) nutmeg
1/2 cup(s) chopped nuts (optional)

Steps:

  • Mix thoroughly the butter, sugar and egg. Stir in pineapple with juice.
  • Stir in together the flour, soda, salt and nutmeg then add to the wet ingredients.
  • Chill at least 1 hour. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2" apart on lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 350º until when touched lightly with finger no imprint remains, about 8-10 minutes.
