Manwich Swiss Steak image

The manwich gives this dish a great flavor. It's tender and delicious!

Number Of Ingredients 10

4 medium cubed steaks (about 1 1/2 to 2 lbs.
1 teaspoon(s) salt
1 teaspoon(s) cracked pepper
1 teaspoon(s) garlic powder
1 cup(s) all purpose flour
1/4 cup(s) vegetable oil
2 can(s) 15oz. manwich sloppy joe mix
1/2 cup(s) water
1 tablespoon(s) garlic, minced
1 package(s) beef onion gravy

Steps:

  • In a large skillet, heat up you oil to a low medium heat. Sprinkle each steak on both sides with the salt, Pepper & Garlic powder, Place flour in a ziplock and flour well each steak.
  • Add floured steaks to hot oil and let brown on each side until crispy and cooked through, about 10 minutes on each side. Drain on cookie sheet lined with paper towels for 5 minutes.
  • Leave a small amount of oil in the same pan on low heat and in a bowl mix your two cans of manwich, water, garlic and gravy mix and blend. Pour half of your manwich mixture in skillet and lay your crispy steaks down in the sauce and then pour the rest of the manwich mix over the tops of steaks. Place a lid on and let them cook for 1 hour. They should be tender!
